Principal's Message - MarchHello Parents, Guardians and Students,

Our winter activities have been very successful this past month. I was happy to be able to attend skating at the Recreation Center and catch a glimpse of some joyful, rosy-cheeked faces. I see that skating and the playing of tag are as engaging as they have ever been. You would only have to meet one student who was unable to participate, on any particular day, to know how precious it is to them. I would like to thank all the parents who found the time to tie skates. It was a new experience for me to help with belt and buckle fasteners but I think I adjusted well to the tightening of these skates.

On a similar note, we have had our last blast of winter snow and took advantage of it. The snowshoes were brought out of storage and our Grade 3s went for a two-day ski adventure. We certainly have an athletic group of students who like to play in the warm weather, whenever they can.

Finally, as an annual check-up by Alberta’s Education, we would like to thank all those parents who showed up to complete the Accountability Pillar survey with us at that school. I think that is has been a great step forward by Alberta Education to allow us to increase the number of surveys collected.

Enjoy the spring forward,

Mr. Hammond
